Fleek was founded in November of 2021 by Abhi and Sanket. Abhi has an MBA from Cambridge and a background in building and scaling startups. Sanket's background is in software engineering, spending his early career at Google before building out software at Silicon Valley startups.
The idea for Fleek came from Abhi's time living on Brick Lane - London's vintage fashion hub. During the pandemic, Abhi made friends with the resellers and store owners in the area where he learned how time-consuming and even risky it was for them to source inventory.
Until now, the used clothing supply chain has been secretive, fragmented, and mostly offline. This keeps the buyers and sellers of vintage wholesale from being able to grow and scale their businesses.
Working together, Sanket and Abhi created Fleek - a Silicon Valley-backed global market to join the dots, enabling buyers and sellers of wholesale vintage clothing to connect with the full transparency and protection of an online marketplace.
Abhi and Sanket sold their first bundle in November 2021. As of today, we have hundreds of wholesalers receiving thousands of orders from buyers from around the world. Already, we're seeing the difference that Fleek makes to the lives of our buyers and sellers.
We're constantly striving to improve, so if you have any feedback, or just want to say "hey!", hit us up: hello@joinfleek.com
Abhi has scaled tech startups in San Francisco, Berlin, and London. Most recently, he co-founded Verchable, a video AI startup for media creators. Before that, he was an early employee at Dubsmash and led growth to 300M users (acquired by Reddit). Abhi has a BS from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Cambridge.
Sanket is a veteran technologist with more than a decade in Silicon Valley. He has grown product & engineering organisations such as Google, Suki, and Uber. Most recently, at Postmates, he led consumer product (20M MAU) and marketing tech ($5M/mo spend) teams.
We're backed by early stage startup accelerator, Y-combinator (one of the first investors in companies like Airbnb, Stripe, and Twitch), as well as other leading Silicon Valley VC's. Check out our page over here!
